A great weekend and start of the season, looking forward to the next one in a Couple of weeks.
***HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE***
What a jam-packed, fun-filled Easter weekend that was! Good Friday kicked off with card bingo organised by Shirley & Val, this was followed by another evening of karaoke with Del, where everyone joined in and sung their hearts out. We must make a very special mention to 10 year-old Euan who had us all in tears with his rendition of The White Cliffs of Dover.
Saturday morning and the hall was packed for our AGM. Pat welcomed Jackie Adams (Regional Secretary) and Ed Lambourne (Chairman) Southern Region. This was followed by a lovely buffet lunch with a big thanks to Celia and Ian. Later that evening we were back in the hall for another evening of entertainment and eating! Full of the wonderful jacket potatoes supplied by Spud Shack we kicked up our heels to the folk music of Buckers Reel.
Sunday began for some of us, with a walk led by Ken. We then all met in the hall now with beautifully decorated Easter tables and bonnets for our Easter Sunday lunch followed by a drink and mints. Some of the members just couldn’t tear themselves away from the football although the score wasn’t what they were hoping for :-( Sunday evening we had an excellent quiz organised by Steve & Lyn, only interrupted with the raffle. And so with shouts of “another great time, thank you” and “see you very soon” we all returned to our homes-on-wheels for some much needed sleep!
Below are photos of our weekend, as always, if you have anymore please send them to me webmaster@westsussexda.co.uk.
See you all very soon - June
