If you fancy Stewarding one of our meets you now have an added incentive, especially if you haven’t Stewarded before:
One Free Nights Camping on all three or four day meets
Two Free Nights Camping on all Five Day Meets
As you know we do keep advertising for Stewards and this is because we need more of you to be able to ensure that we can Steward all our meets – we really don’t want to have to cancel a meet purely because we do not have any Stewards.
Well – what a fantastic weekend – wall to wall sunshine, great entertainment and a very well attended AGM – thank you to all who came along to join us!
There will be a separate update on the AGM, but essentially everyone is carrying on with the roles from last year, so that you all as without your committee, your DA cannot function.
Thank you to Val and Sheila for stewarding and to all those who helped out.
After the AGM on Saturday evening we were entertained by Tyler, who went down very well and not only have we had some great feedback from the campers, we have also had a thank you from Tyler himself and a request to play for us again, so keep an eye out for when we can next arrange a date!. If you can’t wait until then or want to find out more about him, click HERE (Facebook Account Required)
On Sunday, we ate our Easter Lunch in the hall together, and had a visit from the Easter Bunny and an Easter Chick, who were giving out chocolate eggs and some Easter Cheer!
Sunday evening we had a quiz, and the fact that I am typing this after the event means I wasn’t lynched on the way out for setting too difficult questions! It was very tight with only half a point between the winners “The Easter Egg Heads” and the runners up, “East Meets West”. Notable mention for keeping on the heels of the top two teams, well done the Newbies for third!
Monday morning we had a coffee morning and it was great to see some new faces on the field over the weekend and we look forward to welcoming you back to another meet later in the year.
The First West Sussex DA Camping Meet of 2019 was at ORCHARD FARM.
The weather did us a favour (for once) and the sun found his hat! We had 18 units out and started the West Sussex DA camping season off with a well attended first meet.
Thanks to Stewards, Val and Julie Garrard.
