Richard Belchamber – Condolences
It is with a heavy heart that we bring you news that Richard Belchamber passed away at Worthing Hospital on 21st April, aged 79.
Service to take place at St Mary’s Church Clymping on Thursday 11th May at 12.30pm.Followed by a family only committal at Worthing Crematorium.
Family flowers only but donations if desired to go to either RNLI or PARKINSON UK. c/o Dillistone, 3a Arundel Road, Littlehampton, West Sussex. BN17 7BY.Family respectfully request that no dark colours to be worn.

Some older members will remember Richard with affection. He held many different posts on WSDA committee and served the Southern region council for many years including as Region Chairman.
May Bank Holiday Meet
The weather almost held for the whole meet, and the campers enjoyed studying the aircraft in this ever popular meet.

This Aviation Museum has a unique collection of British aircraft from the “golden age” of British aircraft manufacture. From the end of WWII until the 1970’s British aircraft designers produced some of the most innovative and advanced aircraft of the day. From post war to cold war, this museum clearly shows that timeline in aviation terms.
Amongst the list are classic names, Avro, Hawker, Gloster, De Havilland, English Electric, Blackburn, Percival.

Happy New Year to all West Sussex DA Campers! We have just had our New Year Meal at the Old Tollgate in Bramber which was well received by all. Even the staff enjoyed having us there and said it was nice to see so many people thoroughly enjoying themselves!

WSDA New Year Meal – 13 January 2017
We are holding our annual first gathering of the year at a new venue.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible, however numbers are limited so would suggest to respond quickly so as not to be disappointed.

THE CARVERY RESTAURANT
The popular Carvery Restaurant offers an amazing choice of dishes using the finest of local, seasonal produce sourced from specially chosen suppliers.

Thank you for 2016 camping
Thank you, each and every one of you that came out camping with West Sussex this year, whether it was for one night or every meet we wouldn’t be able to do it without you.
We also wouldn’t be able to run any meets without the stewards, so a big thank you to all the stewards. They do a very important job of running the meet and making everyone welcome. If you fancy trying your hand at stewarding, then please let us know. “Full training will be provided” – if you want to start off be helping to see what goes on, then not a problem, and there are always other campers on hand who have stewarded to lend a hand should you need it.
There are also lots of other helpers that organise activities, thank you to you all aswell. If you have any ideas for activities that you think would bring the campers together – if you know a good walk from a site, want to organise a game / sport put together a quiz (your webmaster/quizmaster wouldn’t mind testing his brain by trying to answer a few questions!) then ideas are welcome, so get your thinking caps on.
The next official DA event will be the Christmas / New Year meal, further details will be made available nearer the time.
